About Tim Shaffer
My name is Tim Shaffer, and I’m proud to be running for Lyon County Sheriff.
I’ve spent nearly 30 years serving this community in law enforcement. Over the course of my career with the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, I’ve worked in the jail, on patrol, in the courts, and most recently as a Behavioral Health Peace Officer. Every role has given me a deeper understanding of the challenges our deputies face and the needs of the people we serve.I’m running for Sheriff because I believe our community deserves a Sheriff’s Office built on transparency, accountability, and trust. Lyon County has been my home and my place of service for decades, and I’m committed to ensuring our agency works for the people it serves.If you’re new to this page, welcome.
